About Parting Carn

Parting Carn is a small family-run farm set within 24 acres of Duchy farmland on St Mary’s and has been in the Watts family for over 300 years.

The farm was originally a dairy farm before moving into flower farming, and for many years was a large producer of the Scented Narcissi that the Isles of Scilly are so well known for.

Today, Parting Carn is home to Andrew and Christie Watts and our family. We feel incredibly lucky to call it home and are passionate about looking after the farm and keeping it going for future generations. We try to farm as naturally as we can, without the use of chemicals wherever possible, and the welfare of our animals is always at the heart of what we do.

Over the years the farm has continued to change and diversify, and we now have three lovely places for guests to stay – Upper Sty Pod, Lower Sty Pod and The Old Hayloft. Each one has been finished to a high standard, with lots of care and attention, while still feeling very much part of the farm.

One of the things we love most is welcoming people to Parting Carn. Whether it’s your first visit to Scilly or somewhere you return to year after year, we hope you feel at home here and enjoy this little corner of St Mary’s as much as we do.
